Mental Health First Aid Champions appointed Group-wide

October 2022

On World Mental Health Day we celebrate our recently appointed Mental Health First Aiders.

As part of our ongoing commitment to support and develop all employees across our Group of businesses, we recently invested in training a large and diverse group of Mental Health First Aiders, with representatives Group-wide, all with different backgrounds and roles.  Prior to this, the Group proudly offered this valuable support to staff through a smaller team of trained personnel and thanks to the recent investment, this resource has been significantly bolstered with an additional sixteen staff members. Facilitated by HSENI, the Group now offers an extensive team of internal ambassadors and champions of mental health, across all regions and business divisions.

Colleagues are encouraged to reach out to any of the registered First Aiders at any time they wish to speak to someone in confidence about worries or concerns they may have. Our champions are fully trained to help provide support to colleagues if they have a mental health problem or are in crisis, or simply wish to talk. First aid support is administered until the appropriate professional treatment is received or the crisis is resolved.

The Mental Health First Aid training programme is part of a comprehensive series of initiatives strategically driven by the People and Culture programme and Executive Team at Prestige Insurance Holdings.

Our Mental Health Champions are; Suzanne Curtis, Chantal Carragher, Suzanne Miller, Louise Vann, Emma McGoldrick, Kerry Guyler, Kate Moore, Megan McAuley, Simon McGurk, Jackie Elliot, Ryan Donaghy, Michelle Hughes, Nicola Dilworth, Paul Williamson, Lynn Pollock and Julie Cosgrove.
