June 2024

Prestige Insurance Holdings (PIH) was delighted to be crowned Winner of the Best Employee Benefits Programme Large category at last night’s Irish News Workplace and Employment Awards.

Held at Titanic Belfast, the glittering awards event champions resilience, team-building and positivity in the workplace.  23 category winners were announced on the night and we were thrilled to be announced as the Winner of Best Employee Benefits Programme – Large in a hotly contested category with three other very worthy finalists.

At Prestige Insurance Holdings, we are driven by our commitment to deliver outstanding service for our customers, with a passion for growth and to be the leader in our chosen markets. Our expertly skilled and experienced staff are key in making this happen. Supporting and enhancing our colleague’s well-being has been a continuous passion of the Group.

Director of People Services, Wendy Close commented;

“ We are absolutely thrilled to be awarded this tremendous award, it really is a reflection and testament to all of the hard work and dedication that underpins the workings of our business.   On behalf of the Senior Team at Prestige Insurance Holdings, I wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of our people, without whom this win wouldn’t be possible.

With a comprehensive benefit package already in place, the People Team endeavoured to undertake a review of our benefits offering in 2023 to ensure that it not only met the current needs of our colleagues, but that it continued to reflect our Group determination to continue to develop and enhance individual wellbeing as part of our developing employee value proposition.  As a result, we implemented Income Protection as a new benefit, upgraded our pension provision and embedded a far more robust employee assistance programme that extends to family members.”

Having grown from a locally owned business over 50 years ago, building a culture of support and responsibility has underpinned the longevity of the Group.  Our aim is to ensure our colleagues know they are valued and that this continues beyond their working day.
