June 2024

Prestige Insurance Holdings has become part of the responsible business network, Business in the Community,  highlighting the Group’s steadfast commitment  to responsible business and its employees.

With over 270 Northern Ireland businesses in the network, members collaborate to advance the responsible business agenda, which includes supporting their people, being a force for good in society and having a positive impact on the environment.

Businesses in NI have an important role to play in addressing society’s biggest issues and Prestige Insurance Holdings is committed to making Northern Ireland a better place in which to live, work and do business.

Wendy Close, People Director at Prestige Insurance Holdings commented:

We are delighted to have become members with Business in the Community - being part of the network is a public commitment of our Group’s commitment to corporate responsibility. We believe that the structures, initiatives and supports available under the BITC Core model align very closely with our internal people and culture programme, Better Together, and our future aspirations to further develop our strategy, new programmes and initiatives.”

Better Together is the umbrella programme which incorporates a wide range of working groups,   underpinned by the three core pillars of People, Planet and Place and compasses key sub areas: Health and Wellbeing, Diversity and Inclusion and Academy (People) through which we support and enhance the development, diversity, wellbeing and health of our colleagues; Community (Place) initiative through which we develop activities/initiatives aimed at being a responsible business and in supporting the communities in which we operate; our most recently formed sub-group Planet (Planet) which will be focused on activities/initiatives to support the effective use of resources, energy, transport, biodiversity and lifestyle.”

Responsible business network Business in the Community Northern Ireland (BITCNI) has warmly welcomed Prestige Insurance Holdings into its ranks.  Kieran Harding, Managing Director, Business in the Community NI said:

We are delighted to welcome Prestige Insurance Holdings into membership. Our members recognise the huge benefits that come from managing their businesses in a responsible and sustainable way, and we look forward to working with all of our members – established and new – supporting them on their responsible business journeys.  We aim to help and inspire companies to address three campaigning areas – their People, the Planet, and the Place in which they operate. By working together to tackle social and environmental issues, businesses in membership with us can truly become a force for good in society.
